Last night I had the opportunity to run a Tele-Townhall with Herman Cain as the guest. The moderator Rusty Humphries asked Mr. Cain to explain the current allegations of sexual misconduct in the workforce. In his own words:

It comes as no surprise to me that Rick Perry's camp is suspected of throwing a political bomb into Herman Cains Candidacy. Perry has on his team the leader of "one of the nation's most vicious campaign hit teams, a secret outfit whose reach spreads all over the American political system." Or so the a 2004 article from a longtime Texas Blog begins. The article continues saying that "It specializes in attempted assassination of political careers under the guise of issue education."

It is suspicious that someone very close to the Perry campaign has recently distanced himself from the campaign as a "general consultant". Dave Carney is known as one of the best political hitmen in the business. Could the man they call "The Wizard cehind the curtain" be up to his old tricks with a third party political hit? Time can only tell.

US Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton announces declassification of one of the Nations most guarded secrets.
"Beginning today, the United States will make public the number of nuclear weapons in our stockpile and the number of weapons we have dismantled since 1991," Mrs Clinton said. "So for those who doubt that the United States will do its part on disarmament, this is our record, these are our commitments and they send a clear, unmistakable signal." Following this statement Clinton reveals the number of nuclear weapons we have.

YES Hillary! And that signal is... let me show you all of our cards so you can now figure out the best way to destroy us. A secondary signal? The US is so weak that they can be easily manipulated into revealing or doing whatever the world governments want or ask. Okay this stupid word of transparency has been taken waaay too far!

If the government no longer believes that we are a sovereign country and if they now believe that it is "our obligation to the world" to have such an open information policy; it is up to us THE PEOPLE to stop them.

These people are no longer citizens of America they have become citizens of the world committing treasonous acts against our country and they should be treated as such. Okay so you may think that my next sentence would be to go out and arm yourself. YES! I want you to arm yourself with the power of democracy and work feverishly like I am to get those traitors out of office. We ALL need to work night and day to find and support qualified candidates to replace these traitors in Washington. There is safety in numbers my friends and we each need to get out there and wake up our neighbors and educate them about how close we are to losing our Democracy.

Shocking: Tea Party Express Endorses Blue Dog Dem Walt Minnick

It is all over the news that the Tea Party Express has broken from what some folks might call tradition (for us we don't consider it so). We have made a target and heroes list targeting the worst offenders in government and rewarding those who amid pressure still stand up for fiscal conservative values.

Now I know this was in a recent blog of mine... but it doesn't seem to be getting in people's heads what the Tea Party Express stands for. I will list it again for those of you who are new:

I spoke this week with Brendan, a leader of the Tea Party of Boise. He expressed to me that the Tea Party of Boise is not endorsing anyone at this time. He says that we made the right decision for the Tea Party Express. He agreed that Minnick has very conservative vote. Here is the record that we decided to reward with Tea Party Express endorsement:

To stand in the face of opposition of your peers and to continue to promote and vote for fiscal responsibility and conservatism.

It's funny you forwarded this nonsensical email to ME since I don't know who you are just as you don't know Anna Marie. But if you feel you have rights to send me your opinion... I must then take the same right. Though I haven't the time to read the email that Anna Marie sent to you (whom I also don't know), I will reply to all on your list you've added and add a comment to your comment.

I too am grateful that Obama is our President. For the past 60 years our country has been slipping into a socialistic society where the People are encouraged to get and demand what they haven't worked for. A similar phenomenon occurred before the fall of the Roman Empire. It was called a time of bread and circuses. Where the government gave out free wheat and held free shows to make the people lethargic and complacent enough to wield their liberties over to the government.

If you understand the story of 'How to Boil a Frog', you will then understand why I feel that Obama is the best thing to happen to this country. You boil a frog by turning the heat up slowly so that he will become accustomed to the rising temperature and not notice he's being cooked. Our Constitution and citizens were being cooked in a similar way. But along came Barrack Obama who through his own ego felt he could usher in all the socialist programs he wanted because of his popularity. He strayed from the plan of a slow boil and turned up the heat full blast. I thank God for his narcissistic techniques because the sleeping giant of America has been awoken. We will not be boiled... we will no longer take this tyranny of taxation and deep reaching regulation. We will take our country back starting this next election in 2010 and then cutting away deeper in 2012 at the sucking leeches who have clamped onto our democracy and have been sucking the life out of our Constitution and the People's pocket books.
Please pass on the good word that our President has ushered in change. A change in attitude toward our hand in government. A rejuvenation of our pride to be American. Socialists Hope You Ignore the Panacea of 'Cowboy Up!'

My friend Paul Snover wrote this letter after feeling especially disturbed by the infighting in his local grassroots group:

"The hard thing or question is how do the Grass Root C4L Tea Party & 9:12 organizations unite in voice and strength while maintaining their uniqueness and original intent?

My friend has been stuck in the middle of these "power" struggles which include nasty words being bantered back and forth and bad feelings of good people one for another are tearing us apart, a negative atmosphere of contention is growing as elections draw near.

So, what is the best answer to "unite in voice and strength while maintaining their uniqueness and original intent?"

Anyone have the miracle cure to unite us all?"

My answer to him and all those experiencing the same side effects of revolution:

This will be the great struggle in this movement and it won't go away. The reason is because this call to a revolution has turned out the best and brightest of Americans to try to find what they can contribute. These bright Americans might ALL be considered chiefs. From the local to the national level you'll find a high (even unbalanced) number of chiefs in one organization. Look at those who prepared our Constitution and Declaration of Independence... a room full of chiefs. Do you think they fought over issues and ideas? YES! Did they give up? NO! We all have to come to the realization that there will be a big healthy power struggle in this fight.

I'm against uniting all of the local and national groups in one body as one entity as it will make us an easier target for the media to destroy. Instead we must all continue to strengthen our individual organizations and try to form a coalition with other grassroots groups while retaining our ideals and goals. What's great about having a number of grassroots is that instead of having 1 national organization accomplishing 1 thing you'll have multiple accomplishing many. Take TPN, TPX and TPP. These three major organizations couldn't be more different. The TPN, who organized a successful conference to bring multiple Tea Party peoples together to share ideas and learn. There is the Tea Party Patriots whom amongst many things are very good at building a network of communication. Lastly, the Tea Party Express who's very good at organizing tours and rallies and with their PAC status has the ability of affecting elections in their own way (been doing it for years even before the Tea Parties of 2009). Each of these organizations contributes something and if you were to combine them I believe that much of the power would be lost as the movement would slow down and you'd have to eliminate ideas when you eliminate decision makers.

I believe that those who want to build an organization must just face the facts that having opposition and controversy even from those who have the same beliefs and goals will in the end actually increase the number of things we can accomplish as a whole movement. We can be strong! We will overcome! And if we keep our shoulder to the wheel we will accomplish the extermination of the growing parasite of socialism that has taken hold of our country for the past number of decades. Like my friend Pearson use to say when I felt like throwing in the towel, “Cowboy up, Ruegner, we still have got work to do!"

If It's Bad Make It Illegal, Don't Rape Us & Profit From It!

This morning my Dad sent me an article about the tax that was passed on the usage of plastic grocery bags in Washington DC. This tax imposes a 5 cent penalty on consumers who go shopping and need something to carry their groceries home in. My dad said to me,"If it's so bad for us why don't they just make it illegal?" Then I went on to read this article in the Washington Post that talks about new guidelines for this confusing bag tax.

The words of my Dad swirled in my head... If pastic bags were terribly harmful for the environment then they would be illegal. Instead, I think this is just another revenue source for the government. I wonder when the government will satisfy its insatiable appetite to collect revenue from us in these obscure ways that are made to appear as penalties for bad behavior. Look at how those who smoke have been taxed, double taxed and overtaxed for years--has it changed anything? Now the government depends on smokers. When will the government stop trying to control consumer behavior and then profit from it?

My hope is that people might stop accepting the government attempts to control behavior and begin to realize that sin taxes are not for our own good but just ways for the government to expand its control.

When Animals Eat Their Young do Tea Party Instigators Cringe?

I just read a very exciting column in USA Today this afternoon about Sarah Palin and why she's speaking at the Tea Party Convention this upcoming weekend. The article got me to thinking again about all of the infighting going on among grassroots groups and of the criticisms both from within and from the left attacking the movement. The problem is that the attacks contradict two important Tea Party values: capitalism and integrity. Why is there so much infighting amongst the Tea Partiers and why are they inviting the left to get involved?

I got into a conversation with a very hard working organizer in the Midwest who said to me that they disapproved of the Tea Party Convention's price tag. I've heard this complaint before, over and over. But when it comes to my small business, I've paid for conventions out-of-pocket because it has always seemed justifiable to pay those people who worked hard to put up a great event and train me to be to be better at my job. I mean that's capitalism: come up with an idea or product and sell it based on what the market is willing to pay.

I don't understand why people such as Tea Partiers who are out there shouting that government has gone too far and become too intrusive in our lives would turn around and contradict their values. Why criticize an individual who is participating in the free enterprise system? Tea Party Nation came up with an idea for a convention, developed it and marketed it. If the event was overpriced, basic economics would have kicked in. People would refuse to pay that price and the venture would have failed. Instead critics for some unforeseen reason began to target speakers and attendees of the event and resort to name-calling in order to ensure that the event would fail.

Another big area of criticism of the convention is the keynote speaker. The Midwest organizer mentioned that they were disappointed that Sarah Palin had chosen to stay in the convention while everyone else had pulled out to escape coming under attack by the critics. Again I am confused by these Tea Party advocates since I believed that another quality they feel has been lost on Washington is INTEGRITY. Sarah Palin is a great example of fortitude and stick-to-it-ness! She promised the Tea Party Nation that she'd attend and speak at the event and she will. America needs more people like Governor Palin to stand up to opposition and go against the grain. I'm proud of her willingness to put herself in front of the firing lines to push the grassroots movement forward and keep the energy going. The critics can keep whining and threatening and lying but Palin has more moxy in her little finger than her critics have intelligence and common sense in their whole bodies!

Okay, this brings me back to my original question: Why then are Tea Party leaders lashing out and criticizing other people in the movement who have good intentions and who try to do good things? Why are they not saving their fire for the real bad guy instead: big government? Why in the past few months have I heard endless criticism of our own people and not enough criticism thrown in the direction of the true evil? Why are they eating their young, squelching the new ideas that are evolving from the movement?

If you believe that the system has a way of balancing itself out and the American people are smart enough to figure out a scheme when they see one, then welcome to the Tea Party movement. But if you feel like it's necessary to control this movement from the top down and be a gatekeeper of who gets to be in the movement and you believe that the American people are too naive to really understand what's best for them, then welcome to Socialism.

If You Can't Get your Ass Moving, Hop Onto An Elephant!

A year ago, Obama's address to the Joint Session of Congress in 2009 was "inspiring" as he touted change for America. He said that the only way to get out of the mess Bush got America into was to approve major bailouts and cut or eliminate tax credits.

After a very difficult year with a lot of money being thrown at the problem, with virtually no transparency and NO positive 'change' as promised by Obama, his interview with Diane Sawyer aired the night before his address to the American people. He said something very interesting: "I'd rather be a really good one-term president than a mediocre two-term president, and I believe that," he told Sawyer. After I heard this I felt like I was walking on air all morning. I thought, "Wow, after his first year Obama has given up and he is now posturing for his loss in 2012". Well, my hopes were short lived when I heard his address and began to realize his sinister plan.

While driving home from work today I started listening to Obama's State of the Union address and felt like screaming, "Where is Joe Wilson when we need him?" But then I realized I was alone yelling in my car so I settled down and began listening to the speech. Obama's SOTU address 2010 took his 2009 'let's change America' to 2010 maybe I'll change my platform and become a Republican. Okay he didn't actually say it but here's a sampling of what he did say in his tedious 70 minute speech:

He mentioned cutting taxes 12 times, giving tax credit 4 times, helping out small business 13 times, and giving tax breaks for companies 2 times.

Additionally he spun some very conservative 1 liners like; "eliminate all capital gains taxes", "give tax incentive for all businesses", "we are prepared to freeze government spending for three years", "building the infrastructure", "our nation has always been built to compete", "I do not accept second-place for the United States of America".

None of this sounds like the man on the rainbow tour traveling the world apologizing for America and its successes- so I began to think that something sinister had happened:

Idea 1: Obama's body has been stolen by the GOP and replaced with a socialist-free-more-conservative-robot Obama like in the movie 'The Stepford Wives'.

Idea 2: Or something even more sinister, Obama has decided to switch political parties like Rep. Parker Griffith did last Dec. What makes this an evil sinister move is he may be building a Trojan Elephant. A Trojan Elephant is the perfect tool to infiltrate the hearts of weakened conservatives and make them believe he is on their side.

Hopefully the days after the SOTU will resolve some of these mysteries as to why our President hopped onto an elephant last night... I hope he doesn't intend on using that elephant to get into Tea Parties as I suspect that Tea Partiers can spot a Trojan Elephant and RINO from a mile away!

Beaten by Brown, Barack Boat Bombs in Boston

I know what you're thinking, Coakley was the direct loser in this game so how much does Barack have to do with it? Well let's take a short look back at causes he supports and his track record...Olympics, Copenhagen, Corzine and now Coakley. It seems that the only winning causes he supports is himself. So what does this mean for Americans that we have one of the losingest presidents of all time? It’s good news my friends. Could it be that there are even more losses that have occurred 2009 to present which should be added to BHO's list of losses? I would like to discuss just a few of them.

First a little bit of background:

The RINO caucus (a perversion of the Republican party) is a group of liberals who have infiltrated the party of conservatism which has slowly been gaining strength for a number of years. These RINOs convince their conservative colleagues that in order to get the swing voters in the middle 20% you must act and vote like a progressive so that you don’t alienate that group. And then, as the theory goes, they’ll all like you. So after a while of having conservatives behaving like progressives, like the boys in Pleasure Island from the story Pinocchio, they begin turning into (I know you think I’ll say asses but to stick with my analogy) RINO’s (fooled you, didn’t I). Then you end up with all of these asses, I mean RINOs, who were once regular honest, free-thinking men being puppeted by the task masters, in this case the Democrats.

So these ‘progressives’ begin doing things that upset their constituents and the constituents begin to feel lost and disenfranchised, like Pinocchio when he realizes he’s been led down the wrong path by the wayward boys. So they begin looking around to see if they can find anyone to represent them. In 2008, just what they were looking for comes along: CHANGE. And I’m not talking about pocket change; I’m talking about some ‘really-transparent-history-in-the-making-CHANGE’. The Barack Hussein Obama Boat enters the picture.

The disenfranchised Americans decide to hop onto the BHO Boat sailing toward the sunset, sailing toward ‘CHANGE’. What these people didn’t know is that BHO was leading this boat directly towards disaster- directly into the belly of a whale as big as big government itself.

So now Obama has us upside down inside a BIG government whale that seems impossible to get out of. When all of a sudden someone lights a match and begins to say, “Why don’t you put up a website to have people vote on the internet as a referendum to see if we really want to subsidize the losers’ mortgages; or would we like to at least buy cars and buy houses in foreclosure and give them to people that might have a chance to actually prosper down the road, and reward people that could carry the water instead of drink the water?”

That spark became a powerful catalyst that started a chain reaction to the biggest rising up of the American people since the Civil War or the Revolution. Tea Parties are born. This was the beginning of the end for the BHO Boat. When everyone realized they didn’t have to remain inside the BIG government whale, things DID begin to change. Thanks BHO! The rise of the Tea Parties led to the following two additional losses:

Last month In Clark County, NV Tea Party conservatives infiltrate the Republican Party structure and begin to attend party meetings, eventually causing a number of old guard board members to resign. Clark County Republican committee has since filled those seats with true Tea Partiers. RINOs chased out of Clark County: 1 win for conservatism, 1 loss for progressives. This wouldn’t have happened if BHO and his cronies hadn’t continued to push their intrusive agenda upon the citizens of Clark County.

Just today I was speaking to a local Tea Party organizer AZ where they mentioned that Tea Partiers have been attending meetings and voting. She says that because of the huge turnout of Tea Partiers at these meetings they have begun to restore the party’s ideological integrity. Does anyone know this is going on?

These little losses are happening all over the nation, perhaps in your town. Perhaps you’re rallying your neighbors to stand up and fight for a win against our BIG whale of a government, chipping away at their socialist agenda and causing it to crumble and eventually in 2010 to topple.

The Barack Boat is on the Brink of Being Banished--well at least he’ll continue to face shutting doors and many losses up to 2012 while the Tea Party crowd will reap the benefits from the doors thrown wide open now that Brown Brought Bright hopes and has set a precedent. Can you hear us now?

Just in the last 7 days 2 horrific events have occurred: Two attacks on American soil. One is being completely ignored and the other lightly covered by liberal media (since what is happening in Iran is more interesting than happenings on American soil) .

December 24, 2009 National healthcare: The legislation passed on a party-line vote, 60 – 39

Many say the healthcare plan is unconstitutional, especially Obamacare's "Individual Mandate", and many state officials have proposed invoking the 10th Amendment. It is unprecedented for Congress to require individuals to purchase any good or service as a condition of lawful residence in the United States, especially a specific service that would be heavily regulated by the federal government. I can't find a better description of socialism or a better weapon to go against the grain of the Constitution of the United States.

Thomas Sowell says that this is not about the public's health: It is about Obama's ego and his chance to impose his will and leave a legacy. That some of these "czars" have already revealed their own contempt for the values of American society in the things they have said and done only reinforces the point. In a sense, this administration is only the end result of a long social process that includes raising successive generations with dumbed-down education in schools and colleges that have become indoctrination centers for the visions of the left.
I will go a step further and say that this is more than a U.S. President's ego. This move toward socialism and the idea that there is an elite minority group who have the right to usurp authority over the majority including taking away rights and liberties began long before Obama came into the White House. However, now that he's there Obama has flung the door wide open for all those with dreams of socialism in this country to bring them to fruition. It will be interesting to see what other legislation will be passed that will chip away at the Constitution.

Terrorists continue to insult and attack America choosing one of the holiest of days to our Christian nation, Christmas, to make a statement. The terrorist Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab has given a defiant warning to US investigators, telling them: “There are more just like me who will strike soon." Umar's statement has since been corroborated and we know that he wasn't working alone. There are many ways terrorist counterparts are working to destroy America but blowing stuff up just seems to be the most visual though not as effective as some other tactics. Hopefully, the U.S. will soon learn their lesson that policies like not sharing intel and releasing detainees from Gitmo will only lead to disaster. Last night, in a last ditch effort to save US, Senator Jim DeMint went down to the floor of the Senate and made a motion to suspend the rules of the Senate to allow the insertion of one more amendment into the health care legislation. His amendment? A prohibition on cash for cloture.

Yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Claus and it appears that since he has a few hundred million of my dollars lying around, Harry Reid, can play Santa Claus too. Well at least Santa Claus with kick-backs or as Michelle Malkin calls it 'Cash for Cloture'.

The most heinious acts are accomplished in the middle of the night. If you look back in history the majority of evil occurs when the sun goes down. It's easier to hide secret acts in the dark. So it comes as no surprise that in the dead of night roll was called just after 1 a.m. in the Senate for a test vote on the health care bill- it passed.

"Make no mistake: If the people who wrote this bill were proud of it, they wouldn't be forcing this vote in the dead of night," argued Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Kentucky.

I am so angry, I feel like I want to fly down to D.C. this very minute. Senator Reid pulled out every bribe he could to get the numbers he was looking for to pass this bill on upcoming Thursday. He made every payoff imaginable to get his 60 votes.

Public School promoting Ramadan and Negating Christmas

In a recent article posted on Fox News Radio by Todd Starnes I came across a story that really irked me. In order to be inclusive in their holiday production for 2009 Lantern Road Elementary School in Fishers, IN included references to Christmas, Hanukkah, Ramadan, Las Posadas and Kwanzaa.

Shariq Siddiqui of the Muslim Alliance of IN told the Indianapolis Star. “Schools are a place where we should learn more about each other rather than exclude each other based on stereotypes and misconceptions.”

Here’s what the children were assigned to sing:

Ramadan verse
“Allah is God, we recall at dawn,
Praying ‘til night during Ramadan
At this joyful time we pray happiness for you,
Allah be with you all your life through.”

Christmas verse
“I didn’t know there was a little boy at the manger. What child is this?
I’m not sure if there was a little boy or not.
Then why did you paint one on your nativity window?
I just thought if there was a little boy, I’d like to know exactly what he (sic) say."

I'm all for being inclusive but looks like they totally excluded the name of Jesus in the Christmas verse. Since the song writer was confused if Jesus was a little boy or not I can see why they excluded his name. At least they remembered the name of Allah. I'm so glad that this Judeo-Christian nation can no longer behave as Jews and Christians since it's not PC to have a religious belief in Elohim or the God of Israel anymore. It's wonderful that even the public school system encourages teachers to confuse children just so they can be enlightened about other customs while being encouraged to stomp all over their own.

Alright I just want to know... WHAT is going on with the public school system? Again I will pose this question that I have asked before: What things are being taught that we aren't aware of?

Do You Know Where Your Children Are and Who's Breached the Firewall?

What you are about to read will enrage you but it is something that every parent and responsible adult should read:

First the minor stuff:

The following is a book called 'How to Get Married By Me the Bride' By Sally Lloyd-Jones, Sue Heap. The illustrations are cute and the message could be seemingly harmless. It's a story about a little girl who talks about how to get married. She says that you can marry your pet, or your father, or yourself, or even a flower. The 6-yr old in the book says, "I haven't decided if I like girls or boys... maybe I'll know when I'm a teenager". Here is a preview of the book:

Published this year it is being read to children in the public library, in schools, well everywhere childrens books are read. This book is an obvious attack on traditional marriage. What other kinds of books and ideas are being slipped past your view as a parent? It would be nice if there were parental control software you could install before you send your kids out into the world. But there's not.

It's interesting that the President chose Kevin Jennings to be the head person of OSDFS (Office of Safe and Drug Free Schools) primarily because he founded and led GLSEN. I guess a focus on drug-free school should be put on the back burner until your children are properly educated on correctly making a 'dental dam' (don't ask me just read the articles) for fisting purposes. Good thing our tax money was there to back that up.

So now if you're not angry enough and are looking for even more specific examples of what might be happening when you send your children to school and special conferences (or why the education system is pumping out more and more children with lower test scores but at least they'll be well trained in the usage of a fisting kit 'MacGyver' style) read on to see real transcripts of homosexual activists teaching public school children techniques of homosexual sex.

Thanksgiving wasn't intended to be a day of turkey worship and overindulgence. It is a day set aside to worship and give thanks to the almighty God for the abundance in blessings He provides. Remember that hundreds of years ago Americans didn't go to the grocery store for their food but worked from the melting of the frost in spring through the turning of the leaves in fall to provide for their families. Even with all their best efforts it has always been up to God to provide a good harvest to last through the hard winter months.

I've been disturbed by an increasing trend toward dishonesty and trickery that has been creeping into society in past years but has become unbearably obnoxious the last few months. We began the year having the new President swearing "Transparency" and are ending the year to find that what we have been sold regarding Global Warming is just a hoax with no one from the Obama camp including Obama's Science Czar John Holdren demanding an investigation. Uh yeah... so I'd have to say in some aspects I'd fallen for the propaganda that perhaps we need to be kinda concerned about climate change in case it's true and some of the crap being fed to this really conservative girl about gas-emissions has stuck. Why?, because everywhere I turn I'm bombarded by propaganda from Hollywood- to the Pre-school teacher telling me that I have the power to destroy the earth- only to find the AGW theory is just a farce .

I make the choice whether to follow my gut instincts when I know I'm being told something untrue or follow the 'consensus' and allow my own common sense to be overruled by bureaucrats with an agenda to control and rule and gain power.

Back to Mister Goebbels the lead propagandist in Nazi Germany who said,"Propaganda is not an end in itself, but a means to an end. If the means achieves the end then the means is good..... the new Ministry has no other aim than to unite the nation behind the ideal of the national revolution.". Whose revolution are you advancing if you continue to go with the flow?

The cure to propaganda is this : Speak up and speak out when you are being told something you feel is untrue. Don't just sit around, apply action when needed. Remember what Thomas Jefferson said, "All tyranny needs to gain a foothold is for people of good conscience to remain silent". Put your conscience above your popularity and fight for truth to prevail!

Parental Bailouts Encourage Throwing Away Children

I just got back from watching The Blindside which depicts the remarkable story of All-American football star Michael Oher. As a teenager Michael is discovered virtually homeless as result of his mother's drug use and irresponsibility with her numerous children. At first I thought, 'what a lucky child to be taken in by a caring family'. Then my second thought was, 'what a rare case this is and imagine all of those 7-yr olds being neglected and abandoned to fend for themselves as a result of selfish adults'. It's unfathomable to think of selfish people who put their own self interests and comfort ahead of a defenseless child. But this is a trend that has been plaguing our society for years and is spreading exponentially as this type of abuse only breeds the same.

The culpa for this infectious disease eating at our society are the many social programs designed to relieve parents of their responsibility but which also strip away their freedom to act as a parent. The government is making it easier and easier for adults to cut the ties of responsibility to their children and abandon them (since there are no real repercussions for giving your children over to the state). Just to name a few nanny programs, we have the welfare systems that encourage women to have as many children as possible outside of wedlock, after school programs that encourage parents to leave their children to be raised by someone else and lunch programs that encourage parents to not take the time (or money) to feed/make their children breakfast or lunch before school. These programs sound nice for the child but in the long run make it easier for a parent to say to themselves that the government is as capable as they are if not more so of raising their children. But many parents do want to retain some of their rights. A timely example is the recent vote for parental rights by the school board in the San Juan Unified School District. What gets me here is that a large group of people don't understand that nothing is free. You can't expect to pick and choose the free social programs you want the government to give out without also sacrificing some of your rights. Do we really believe that these parental bailouts could come without strings attached? I feel that we as parents and adults without children need to start becoming more aware of what "gifts" we are accepting and try to find the strings. Do we want government to give us everything to make life easier or do we go out and work for the things we need? We can't have it both ways. We either invite the government to be the hand that rocks the cradle for us or we do it ourselves. I'm for taking up my own responsibilities and encouraging and helping those around me to do the same. The question then is how to help those who are in a cycle of receiving social programs escape the cycle? Michael Oher's story turned out to have a happy ending but how many never-to-be-discovered Michael Ohers are being left with this ghetto mentality to die young and never discover their gifts and talents, ones that could affect incredible change and invention?

Movie side note:
The Twilight series was one of the most enjoyable fiction series I've ever read, however the Twilight movies (having just watched New Moon) are two of the most painful movies I've EVER watched.

Two nights before I embarked on an exciting tour with the Tea Party Express I had a dream. I told my Dad about the dream calling it the cookie jar analogy:
I dreamt that my America was a great big cookie jar full of American dreams and the government was like a misbehaving child stealing from the cookie jar. Everything I wanted for myself and family was in the jar; freedom, pursuit of happiness, financial security, a white picket fence. I awoke thinking... what usually happens to the hand caught in the cookie jar? You smack it right? I told my Dad that we need to smack the government down hard for stealing away our way of life and trampling underfoot the Constitution which holds my American dream. This intrusive, overreaching child needs to be put back in its' place...

That's when my Dad stopped me and said," Tiffiny, these people are not children stealing cookies from a cookie jar. They are thieves hell bent on destroying our way of life." While on the TPXii tour, I had much time contemplating my father's words and realized that I had been using more honey and not enough vinegar in my analysis of government. Having been raised in a conservative household I was taught to look for the good in people. It's hard to imagine that there are those seeking power who are so brutal and ruthless, who want to take away everything from us. These are they who tell us that we're insensitive and politically incorrect.

Those horrible nasty words ring and ruminate around the mind of this Christian-raised, caucasian-labeled, middle-class American girl. Politically incorrect, insensitive, racist, offesive, incompassionate, radical conservative are just some of the words that are used like weapons to silence conservative thought. I'm sick and tired of being a polite well-mannered conservative. I will be shamed no longer. I will not be told that it's wrong to be bold. Is it wrong to stand up for what's right? Is it wrong to stand up for truth? I will defend truth and not allow those seeking socialism to use my good nature against me any longer.

I will not stop at calling or writing a letter to my representative but will go a step further and volunteer in my community. I will have discourse with my neighbor and others on the street to bring about the awareness of this disease of socialism that's plagueing our nation. I will donate my money and time to organizations that seek to stop intrusive government in its tracks!! I will seek out people in my community who will make good candidates for public office and then stand behind them to get them elected. I will dedicate my energies to restoring the America I grew up with for my 7-yr old before the concept of America is lost forever and becomes only a memory in history books. If I wait any longer the window of opportunity will close.
