After a very difficult year with a lot of money being thrown at the problem, with virtually no transparency and NO positive 'change' as promised by Obama, his interview with Diane Sawyer aired the night before his address to the American people. He said something very interesting: "I'd rather be a really good one-term president than a mediocre two-term president, and I believe that," he told Sawyer. After I heard this I felt like I was walking on air all morning. I thought, "Wow, after his first year Obama has given up and he is now posturing for his loss in 2012". Well, my hopes were short lived when I heard his address and began to realize his sinister plan.
While driving home from work today I started listening to Obama's State of the Union address and felt like screaming, "Where is Joe Wilson when we need him?" But then I realized I was alone yelling in my car so I settled down and began listening to the speech. Obama's SOTU address 2010 took his 2009 'let's change America' to 2010 maybe I'll change my platform and become a Republican. Okay he didn't actually say it but here's a sampling of what he did say in his tedious 70 minute speech:
He mentioned cutting taxes 12 times, giving tax credit 4 times, helping out small business 13 times, and giving tax breaks for companies 2 times.
Additionally he spun some very conservative 1 liners like; "eliminate all capital gains taxes", "give tax incentive for all businesses", "we are prepared to freeze government spending for three years", "building the infrastructure", "our nation has always been built to compete", "I do not accept second-place for the United States of America".
None of this sounds like the man on the rainbow tour traveling the world apologizing for America and its successes- so I began to think that something sinister had happened:
Idea 1: Obama's body has been stolen by the GOP and replaced with a socialist-free-more-conservative-robot Obama like in the movie 'The Stepford Wives'.
Idea 2: Or something even more sinister, Obama has decided to switch political parties like Rep. Parker Griffith did last Dec. What makes this an evil sinister move is he may be building a Trojan Elephant. A Trojan Elephant is the perfect tool to infiltrate the hearts of weakened conservatives and make them believe he is on their side.
He doesn't understand America being 2nd because he wants America to be last! Obama hasn't gotten the message from MA, and he never will!

ReplyDeleteThe Words have been reshuffled, but the Tune is the SAME. For Example: I am FOR Offshore drilling and Nuclear Power within the confines of CAP & TRADE. This is not a conservative or even RINO position. The POTUS has always been for Offshore Exploration to the extent that the Industry is willing to be raped by the Federal Governments NEWEST TAX SCAM.
This is Business As Usual - I will only support a bill that is Fiscally Responsible and Good For America, so I am going to vote for CAP & TRADE, which will necessarily cause Fuel Costs to Skyrocket, if it costs me my job. [as a good one-term president]

I believe most citizens agree with what you said: “Hopefully the days after the SOTU will resolve some of these mysteries as to why our President hopped onto an elephant last night... I hope he doesn't intend on using that elephant to get into Tea Parties as I suspect that Tea Partiers can spot a Trojan Elephant and RINO from a mile away!” I personally feel it was just so much rhetoric and even double talk. No disrespect to the president intended. Reread his speech, he promised some reductions and tax cuts and incentives on one hand for small businesses. At the same time proposals such as pushing the Health Care costs with the other, Cap & Trade, and taxing those earning over $250,000. was a vital part of his future agenda. While advocating government tightening its belt, he proposes enormous spending plans for spending billions upon billions of dollars for this year to “increase jobs” and the cuts will start next year. Just look at the current budget proposals and the huge deficit!
