Terrorists from the Outside vs Socialists from the Inside.

Who will do more damage more quickly?
Just in the last 7 days 2 horrific events have occurred: Two attacks on American soil. One is being completely ignored and the other lightly covered by liberal media (since what is happening in Iran is more interesting than happenings on American soil) .

December 24, 2009 National healthcare: The legislation passed on a party-line vote, 60 – 39

Many say the healthcare plan is unconstitutional, especially Obamacare's "Individual Mandate", and many state officials have proposed invoking the 10th Amendment. It is unprecedented for Congress to require individuals to purchase any good or service as a condition of lawful residence in the United States, especially a specific service that would be heavily regulated by the federal government. I can't find a better description of socialism or a better weapon to go against the grain of the Constitution of the United States.


Thomas Sowell says that this is not about the public's health: It is about Obama's ego and his chance to impose his will and leave a legacy. That some of these "czars" have already revealed their own contempt for the values of American society in the things they have said and done only reinforces the point. In a sense, this administration is only the end result of a long social process that includes raising successive generations with dumbed-down education in schools and colleges that have become indoctrination centers for the visions of the left.
I will go a step further and say that this is more than a U.S. President's ego. This move toward socialism and the idea that there is an elite minority group who have the right to usurp authority over the majority including taking away rights and liberties began long before Obama came into the White House. However, now that he's there Obama has flung the door wide open for all those with dreams of socialism in this country to bring them to fruition. It will be interesting to see what other legislation will be passed that will chip away at the Constitution.


December 25, 2009 Nigerian Terrorist ignites explosive device on flight 253

Terrorists continue to insult and attack America choosing one of the holiest of days to our Christian nation, Christmas, to make a statement. The terrorist Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab has given a defiant warning to US investigators, telling them: “There are more just like me who will strike soon." Umar's statement has since been corroborated and we know that he wasn't working alone. Also discovered was that two al Qaeda leaders who were the behind Northwest Flight 253 terror plot had been Released by U.S. What makes matters worse is that the U.S. government had intelligence from Yemen before Christmas that leaders of a branch of Al Qaeda there were talking about "a Nigerian" being prepared for a terrorist attack.



There are many ways terrorist counterparts are working to destroy America but blowing stuff up just seems to be the most visual though not as effective as some other tactics. Hopefully, the U.S. will soon learn their lesson that policies like not sharing intel and releasing detainees from Gitmo will only lead to disaster. In this case, on Christmas Day, it was perhaps a present to us that no one was hurt but it should serve as a warning that there are still evil people out there who want to destroy America. We must continue to be on guard and stop reaching out to embrace what is venemous.

Who's more dangerous to America: the terrorists attacking us from the outside or socialists from the inside? We should strengthen our core by electing officials who are interested in promoting traditional American values like strength, liberty and pursuit of happiness, and this will allow us to defend from outside attacks while fostering freedom at home.
